Sooz Dog Training is based near Gunn, just 10 minutes from the centre of Barnstaple. Upon booking you will be sent directions to the venue along with a What 3 Words location.

We believe in using reward based methods to teach our dogs the behaviours that we want to see. We do not use punishment or tools such as choke chains, slip leads, prong collars or e-collars. Our sessions will cover management techniques and enrichment as well as training exercises to improve your life with your dog.

Group classes are suitable for dogs who are comfortable working around other dogs and people. If your dog is reactive towards other dogs or people, they would need to work on a 1-2-1 basis first to teach them the skills needed to be in a group situation. If you are not sure then do not hesitate to get in touch.

For puppy classes there are no more than 6 in a group and for all other classes the maximum number of dogs is 4. Small classes allow individual attention and better skill development.
